Inuka Malkia and Fahari Malkia Programs
Victoria Finance remains committed to advancing women’s economic empowerment by supporting enterprises that actively contribute to value addition and income growth. Through the Inuka Malkia and Fahari Malkia programs, the institution delivers targeted financial solutions that respond to the distinct realities of women entrepreneurs in non‑agricultural value‑adding businesses and agribusiness value chains. These programs are aligned with TAMFI’s mission of inclusive, responsible, and impactful microfinance.
Our Vision and Mission
Victoria Finance’s vision is to become a leading innovative financial services provider, recognized for excellence and transformative impact in the region.
Our mission is to deliver tailored, high-impact financial solutions that empower individuals and enterprises to achieve economic independence and long-term success. Women empowerment through enterprise development and value addition is a core strategic priority, that ensures our women led businesses from our targeted customers are well attended to in line with special realities of our customers.
Fahari Malkia: Agribusiness Value‑Addition Activities
Fahari Malkia targets women‑led agribusinesses involved in agricultural value addition, rather than primary production alone. Supported activities include agro‑processing, cleaning and grading, packaging, storage and preservation, milling, food processing, and other transformations that increase the shelf life and market value of agricultural products. The program prioritizes women who are transitioning from selling raw produce to engaging in higher‑income segments of the agricultural value chain.
Through Fahari Malkia, women agripreneurs are empowered to reduce post‑harvest losses, stabilize incomes across seasons, and strengthen their participation in local and regional food markets.
Inuka Malkia: Non‑Agricultural Value‑Adding Activities
Inuka Malkia is designed for women entrepreneurs engaged in non‑agricultural value‑adding economic activities. These activities include light manufacturing, processing and packaging, tailoring and garment finishing, retail businesses with transformation components, beauty and personal care services, food vending with processing elements, and other small production or service enterprises that enhance product or service value. The program supports women who are moving beyond basic trading to enterprises that generate higher margins, stronger cash flows, and employment opportunities.
By focusing on value addition outside agriculture, Inuka Malkia enables women to strengthen competitiveness, improve quality standards, and access higher‑value markets while promoting business formalization and sustainability.
Financing Offered Under Both Programs
Across Inuka Malkia and Fahari Malkia, Victoria Finance offers two main financing solutions tailored to business needs. Working capital loans are provided to support day‑to‑day operations such as inventory purchase, raw materials, wages, and operational expenses, ensuring business continuity and cash‑flow stability. In addition, medium‑term loans for capital expenditure (CAPEX) enable clients to invest in productive assets such as machinery, processing equipment, tools, storage facilities, and business infrastructure.
This dual‑financing approach ensures that women entrepreneurs can both operate their businesses effectively and invest strategically for growth and long‑term value creation.
