1. 2024 NON-DEPOSIT TAKING MICROFINANCE REVIEWED REGULATIONS MEETING.

 2. THE 2ND TBA CONFERENCE ON FINANCIAL INCLUSION

Date: 9th February 2024 Time: 08:30am – 05:00pm Location: Serena Hotel Dar es Salaam.

Is a full day 2nd TBA conference on Financial Inclusion that there will be launch of Sustainable Finance Principles (SFPs), Presentation on the Third National Financial Inclusion Framework, Presentation on Finscope Study insights for the banking sector and panel discussions.

3.      LAUNCH OF ASPEKT LLC IN TANZANIA

Date: 15th February 2024 Time: 09:00am – 03:00pm Location: Holiday Inn Hotel.

4. SIGMA PROJECT FINAL DISSEMINATION EVENT

FINAL DISSEMINATION EVENT of the study on the mini grids which was conducted in 4 countries in Africa for the past 3 years.  The study focused on Sustainability, Inclusivity and Governance of Mini Grids in Africa and this event is taking place in UK. TaTEDO SESO will present Tanzania mini grid case. 

In order to learn more on the complex dynamics & challenges of installing sustainable, inclusive decentralized electricity systems in Sub-Saharan Africa, please Join us virtually on February 16th from 11:00am EAT to hear/discuss the latest research findings focused on Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania and Senegal.

A week after the final dissemination event in UK, TaTEDO SESO will organize a similar event in Dar es Salaam (in person) which will focus on presenting the field findings and present a paper on regulatory and tariff framework.  

Invited stakeholders will discuss and share their experience which will help to enrich the paper and the study reports which are in progress. The concept, the date and venue for this event in Dar will be communicated in the invitation letter to be circulated a few days to come.

5. LOCALIZING CLIMATE FINANCING FOR NON-PROFITS IN EAST AFRICA THROUGH DIALOGUE AND TRAINING

EED Advisory, in collaboration with the C.S. Mott Foundation, is hosting this two-day forum, bringing together local non-profit organizations operating in the productive use of energy in the agriculture sector to provide valuable insights and tools to enhance their grant readiness.

The forum will feature a plenary session with grant-makers, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities, all geared towards building the capacities of local non-profits in East Africa to raise financing. Topics will include grant application best practices, effective project proposal development, and strategies for engaging with potential donors in the climate financing sector.
