The Tanzania Association of Microfinance Institutions (TAMFI) in collaboration with East Africa Microfinance Network (EAMFINET) is organizing the second East Africa Microfinance Summit. EAMFINET is an umbrella organization for Microfinance Associations in Rwanda (AMIR), Kenya (AMFI-K), Uganda (AMFIU), Burundi (RIM) and Tanzania (TAMFI).


Date:                    2nd to 4th November 2016

Place:                   Julius Nyerere International Conference Centre

in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Theme:                Accelerating Financial Inclusion for Economic Development


Being host to this auspicious event we encourage all Microfinance Practitioners in this country to attend and participate. The three-day conference will be an opportunity to debate, exchange knowledge  and partnerships among practitioners, policy-makers and other stakeholders seeking to achieve significantly greater financial inclusion in the region. It will include a broad range of discussions and debates by top speakers from across East Africa and some invited experts from other parts of the world bringing practical experiences on how various sectors can work together to promote financial inclusion  and inclusive economic growth. Registration fee is as follows:

Community banks, Commercial banks, Microfinance banks, Microfinance Companies (medium and large), development partners TZS 600,000
SACCOS, Financial NGOs, Microfinance Companies (small) TZS 400,000
Informal groups, College students TZS 200,000


TAMFI has limited number of scholarships available through our partner Savings Bank Foundation for International Cooperation (SBFIC). These scholarships will cover full registration fee FOR NON-TAMFI MEMBERS. You can complete your registration for the Summit by filling out the registration form  available on our website:  Deadline for submission is 1st November, 2016.
