Loan Portfolio Management Training

Under MIVARF 2016-17 support,
a three days training on Loan Portfolio Management was held on 29th
to 31st March 2017 at Peacock Hotel City Center.

The Training hosted by TAMFI was meant to equip the participants with the knowledge to carry out effective Loan Portfolio Planning and Management for their respective Microfinance Institutions.

The Participants were trained on Key portfolio indicators and components; Different categories of loan portfolio; Preparation and interpretation of portfolio reports and description of what is involved in portfolio management;
Calculation and Interpretation six (6) key Performance Indicators and
Ratios of a Portfolio and their impact on MFI; Considerations in
portfolio projections; Monitoring  and Controlling of growth  and
Expansion MFIs.

Additionally there was also  a two hour session on Personal Transformation.

The training will be facilitated by Mr Benson Momanyi Mwaniki who is
an internationally acclaimed Microfinance and Business development
Consultant with over Thirty years of experience with core competencies
in Strategic and Business Planning, A- Z Microfinance Operations,
Curriculum Development, Training of Trainers, Programme and Project
evaluations, Organizational Development, Business Development and
Growth, Entrepreneurial Training and Mentoring, Management Leadership
and Governance for Microfinance  and SACCOS, Product Development and
Strategic Marketing for MFIs. He is also a specialist in Microfinance,
SACCOS & Cooperative Management, Business Development Services and
Preparation of Rural Linkages Strategies for Microfinance
Institutions, SACCOs and Farmers Organizations.
